Hara Massage Class for Women

With Mary Saunders

Hara is the Japanese word describing the abdomen, the entire soft portion of the belly. In all Asian healing and martial arts, the hara is of utmost importance as it is considered the vital center. It is where all our important internal organs, except for the heart and lungs, reside. The efficacy of hara massage for improving health has been known in Japan for centuries. As a form of abdominal self-massage, you may use these easy and effective techniques to keep the qi and blood in the internal organs flowing and the bowels from becoming stagnant.

In this class Mary will demonstrate how to perform this massage. You will work with a partner to practice under Mary’s close supervision. Each participant will receive a complete hara massage as well as learn how to give one. It can take as little as five minutes per day, but if practiced regularly, you WILL see your health improve.

Who should take this class? Any one who has issues with digestive, elimination, or hormonal imbalances. Hara massage will benefit most women, is easy to learn, and it feels great!

Cost: $15.00 per person, $25.00 for two if you sign up with a friend.
From 10:00 am to 11:30 am
Pre-registration required. This class is limited to 10 women.

Pediatric Full Moon Clinic

With Jen Wyler

Pediatric acupuncture, or Shonishin, is an age old, needle-free method of treating children for a variety of aliments. In Japan, healthy children receive treatments on or around the full moon to boost their immune system and maintain good health by stimulating acupuncture points and meridians.

With the upcoming flu season right around the corner, why not try acupuncture before antibiotics? At the first sign of your child's next cold, schedule a Shonishin treatment, and you will soon realize that the need for antibiotics, as well as the amount of missed days from school, quickly diminishes.

Help your child with cold & flu, earaches, coughs, digestive issues, and many other common ailments.

Shonishin is designed for infants through age 10.
Cost: Sliding scale, $20 – $40.00
