Dietary therapy is one of the main branches of Chinese medicine, along with acupuncture and herbs. It has long been known that the foundation of health begins with what we put into our bodies. This is especially true in modern times. In 1988 the former Surgeon General Dr. C. Everett Koop stated that the American diet was the cause of approximately two-thirds of the deaths due to disease in America.

My over 20 years of practice has shown me that by simply consuming whole, unprocessed foods we may prevent and treat illness. Most patients need individual attention to successfully achieve long-term results. In many cases, a serious lifestyle change is required, not just a “diet”. I work with my patients to devise strategies that will be the most effective for their specific condition and temperament.

Individualized Nutritional Consultations
While nutritional recommendations may be included as part of your acupuncture office visit, it may be necessary to schedule a separate appointment to assess and treat your specific dietary and nutritional needs. These individualized nutritional consultations vary from 15 minutes to one hour.
  • Standard consultation (30 minutes): $40.00
  • Extended consultation (60 minutes): $75.00
  • Additional 15 minutes: $20.00
Three Week Detoxification Program
We are exposed to thousands of toxic chemicals from our air, water and food supply. We also consume an ever-growing list of toxins including caffeine, over-the-counter medication, alcohol, nicotine, and unhealthy fats. Patients may be burdened by any of the common symptoms of toxicity including headaches, fatigue, joint pains, insomnia, mood changes, weakened immune system, or chronic GI issues.

This program gives you everything you need to detoxify successfully: Supplements, meal replacements, shopping lists, detailed information at each step of the process, and tips from Mary's many years of experience to make it easy. You will be eating nourishing whole foods as well so you will NOT be hungry!

You can expect to feel better, sleep well, and have more energy as you proceed on this program. And It is a great way to jump start a weight lose program.

The purpose of this program is two-fold. We want to eliminate accumulated toxins as well as re-educate ourselves as to what foods really nourish the body and give us sustained energy. You will learn how to change the way you eat on a daily basis to maintain optimal health.
  • Individuals may begin at any time. However, cleansing is most effective in warm weather when the body naturally wants to open rather than contract with cold. May and/or September are usually good times to cleanse.
